While the year comes to an end, let's not forget to thank Him for all
the blessings we have received and let's continue to share them with
everyone. This time of the year has always been my favorite and
though I always get fever and colds, I still manage to do a lot of
stuff, attending parties, doing chores, finishing work, and going out
with friends and my family (and playing on my Nintendo DS). This
year is one of the turning points in my life (please don't ask why),
but still I'm thankful that I was able to overcome the trials that has
passed. After all, I wouldn't be where I am right now if all
those things didn't happen.

Let's celebrate the holiday season with lots of joy, laughter, smiles
and love! Merry Christmas everyone! May you have a blessed
one!
Monday, December 19, 2005

Do you ever wonder?

Do you ever wonder why its the small things in life that makes us feel big?
Do you ever wonder why we always meet people who touch our hearts when we least expect it?
Do you ever wonder why most people look some place else when the one they're looking for is just beside them?
Do you ever wonder why everyday we're blessed with the coolest things in life when we never ask for any?
Do you ever wonder why we sometimes feel we already met the most special person in our lives and then someone better comes along and proves us wrong?
Do you ever wonder why we only realize a person's worth when they leave us?

...I don't anymore. I stopped wondering eversince I found YOU. This is one lifetime worth spending with YOU.

In these times of high technology, I officially announce three gadgets that I can't live without.

(1) iPod Nano - listening to music has never been the same whether you're jogging, driving a car or sleeping in bed.

(2) Nintendo DS - this one used to be a Gameboy but since this gadget can both play DS and GBA games, it is more practical.

(3) O2 XDA Mini - my cellphone, PDA, and substitute for DS whenever I feel like playing.
They remind us of our dads.
14. They don't mind accompanying a woman to a party even though she looks like a movie star and he looks like
the chauffeur.
15. Their near-endless appetite for discussing the ins and outs of work and money--ours as well as theirs.
16. Their genuine ardor for tinkering with toilets, changing oil and assembling gas grills--jobs any intelligent
woman can do, but would be nuts to volunteer for.
17. They never care what their horoscope, their mother-in-law, nor the neighbors say.
18. They rarely lie about their age, their weight, or their clothing size.
19. How awestruck they are in the face of a homemade cookie.
20. How great their hands look holding ours.
21. Their face is a treasure to behold when they give us a present they picked out.
22. Their ignorance is usually amusing.
23. They have a great sense of competition.
24. They give great hugs, (and always melt our hearts when a sweet "I love you Princess" is added)
25. Though they often try to hide it, they're very tenderhearted and caring.
26. They have an uncanny ability to look deeply into our eyes and connect with our heart, even when we
don't want them to.
27. They don't care whether colors match, but are willing to be concerned if we want them to be.
28. They can be taught.
29. They give us a peek at the little boy inside when they get sick or happy or hurt.
30. They hold back their anger for the sole purpose of avoiding to hurt us.

Saturday, November 12, 2005

In This Life...

Let the world stop turning
Let the sun stop burning
Let them tell me, love's not worth going through

If it all falls apart
I will know deep in my heart
The only dream that mattered had come true

In this life
...I was loved by you.
Sunday, October 30, 2005

More happenings!

It was my Mom's birthday yesterday and boy did we eat a lot of
food! I remember eating that much way back in May when it was
fiesta here. We had all kinds of seafood and vegetables because
my Mom's on a diet now eversince she got her slipdisk. Yeah, my
family loves eating. We also
watched a movie...though corny, but still fun because it was the first
time the five of us got together again and went out. I love you
guys! Can't wait to go to Hongkong!

My relatives from the father side also went home for the holiday to pay
a visit to our lolo and lola here in the province. I missed my
"pamangkins" so much that we played and ate junkfood all day.
Everytime I see them I always get reminded that one of these years, I'm
going to have kids of my own. This time, from my heaven-sent wife!

Weather's becoming colder each day and I love it. This time of
the year is always the best time for me, my mood and drive to be
productive gets hyped up! To be honest, I've gotten a lot of work
done for the past few weeks compared to last Summer. Not to
mention hearing those Christmas jingles as early as now from the radio
and malls and the taste of "bibingka" and "puto
bungbong"...sweet! I have to admit though that with this kind of
weather, I spend a few hours more sleeping.

Next time I'm going to take pictures! I bought my own digital
camera two months ago but I always forget to use it. Darn.
Tuesday, October 25, 2005

Still alive!

Its been a while since my last entry. Things have been pretty
toxic lately, doing mostly work, managing projects, attending meetings,
and hanging out with family and friends. I've been working on two
projects at the same time, although it doesn't require that much work,
shifting from one project to another takes quite a bit of time and
adjustment. I was glad to be able to watch a few movies with my
sisters for the past week and go out with long lost friends way back
from elementary! At any rate, thank God I'm still alive!
Monday, October 10, 2005

Some thoughts

On Family
I love my family. Their the ones who have been there for me through ups
and downs. I'm so glad that I am able to spend time with my siblings
for the past few weeks because my other sister is still on vacation and
the other doesn't have too much school work. Not to mention I also
spend a lot of time bonding with my Mom because I had to sort of "baby
sit" her because of her back problem. Thank God for you guys!

On Career
Honestly, I really enjoy my work and the career I have right now but I
don't know, sometimes I want to engage in other activities where you
can meet new people, taste new experiences and learn new stuff. I know
I already have a lot of outlets (drawing, singing, programming, reading
books) but I still want new stuff. Maybe I should really pursue a
career in culinary arts. I really enjoy cooking. Sigh. Maybe one of these days...

On Friends
Shared joy is double joy, shared sorrow is half sorrow.
I thank God for my friends. Next to my family, I wouldn't even be here
where I am right now if not for them. I'm so happy to have been able to
spend time with some of my closest friends. I just want you to know
that I cherish the friendship that we have and I'm always here for you.
What are friends for, right?

On Life
There have been a lot of bumps in this journey but
despite all that, I'm so grateful that I'm still here standing, smiling
and looking up. Thank you Lord for being an inspiration. For always
reminding me to face my problems with a smile. For giving me guidance
so that I can help myself and other people. For providing me the
courage to take risks. For instilling me with love to take care of
special people in my life. For using me as an instrument to be a
blessing to other people. And most of all, for waking me up whenever I
get tempted to sleep at work.

Mood: Stressed out
Music playing: Goodbye Girl by Hootie & the Blowfish
Thursday, September 29, 2005

A Love Story (Part 2)

It is Wednesday and Francis had a frantic day. While he is about
to have dinner with a friend, he receives a message on his phone.

Marga: Hi Francis! How was your day? I was able to go to church this afternoon.

Francis: Hi Marga! I'm good, thanks for asking. I went to church this afternoon too. How are you?

If only she was near, he would have gone to church
with her but not today. Marga is over 300 miles away from where Francis
lives. And he misses her badly.

Marga: I'm okay. By Friday I'm going to have tons of work again. Sigh.

Francis: Really? Take it easy okay? Do you want me to call you now?

Marga: Sure! If you're not busy.

...and they talk on the phone for hours, enjoying each other's
company even without each other's presence, building a lasting
friendship word by word. After all, distance was never a barrier.

It's funny how technology make our lives easier, yet makes us forget dinner.
